Backend and infrastructure engineer, 11+ years.

I build the systems that sit behind a product rather than in front of it: lending workflows, payout and reconciliation engines, lead platforms, and data pipelines that process news from over ten thousand sources. Day to day that means Node.js and Python over MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with RabbitMQ, Redis and AWS holding it together.

These days I lead engineering at a home-loan marketplace. Before that I spent four and a half years at an education-technology company, most of it as a team lead, building in-house alternatives to the licensed tools we were outgrowing. The recurring theme in my work is systems where being wrong is expensive — money, compliance, or trust — and where the audit trail matters as much as the feature.
